Professor Dr Kannan Moudgalya, IIT Bombay Confirmed to Speak at WEEF-2019

We are delighted to inform you that Professor Kannan Moudgalya has consented to speak on Disruptive Technologies at WEEF 2019.

Kannan M. Moudgalya is a professor of Chemical Engineering, Systems and Control, and Educational Technology at IIT Bombay.

He received his B.Tech. from IIT Madras, Masters and PhD from Rice University.

Prof. Kannan has held the posts of Associate Dean (R&D), Head of Application Software Cell and Head of the Centre for Distance Engineering Education Programme, at IIT Bombay. He is a Member of the Standing Committee of the National Mission on Education through ICT, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.

He is a life member of ISTE and CSI, and a member of IEEE. Prof. Kannan is invovled in spreading education on a large scale, and has succeeded by reaching nearly half a million people through Spoken Tutorials, the tutorials on Scilab and LaTeX being most important.

He is a believer in open source software systems, virtual labs and the low cost tablet, Aakash. He aims to give high quality education through information and communication technologies to make India a developed country.
